Michelle Nelson
Michelle Nelson has completed a Ph.D. in conservation biology and writes about food and conservation for magazines and newspapers. She started homesteading in her one-bedroom East Vancouver apartment five years ago and now keeps chickens, quail, turkeys, geese, rabbits, goats and all kinds of beneficial microorganisms in a tiny cottage on Bowen Island, BC, with her partner in crazy awesomeness, shark biologist Christopher Mull.
